About
Dylan Cooper is an Australian artist located in Toowoomba, QLD.
After enjoying a successful career as a professional chef he decided to focus more on his art practice and graduated from study in 2012.
Cooper mainly works in acrylic or oil paint and finds inspiration from his immediate surroundings.
In 2019 at Halcyon House in Cabarita Beach, NSW; a small luxury hotel, Dylan was invited to work as the Halcyon House, Artist in Residence.
It provided an amazing array of interiors and still life subjects for Cooper to explore.
Dylan has recently collaborated with the super talented Carlene Duffy and Toby Simm to bring the “Feels Like home” collection.
This series of recognisable, Australian scenes has allowed Cooper to reconnect to places of personal significance, exploring the beauty of the Australian landscape and architecture.
Cooper and his work have also recently been featured in several Australian publications such as; Grand Designs Australia, Insideout magazine, Home Beautiful, Home Designs and Somekind magazine.
His art is a response to the ambiguity of everyday life.
